My new fave everyday go to lipstick

Hey my lovely's

As I've mentioned in older posts i love red lipstick, but for some unknown reason i always felt very self conscience wearing it. I've never been one of those wow look at me kind of people,  so i feel having something so bright on my lips may draw attention to me....which i hate!!!

That's where my new fave lip colour comes in .....

This is a MUA lipstick in shade 3. I absolutely love this shade, i can only describe it like a raspberry red colour. I feel this colour is great for me as i love the red tones but this is a more pinkish red, so i find it very easy to wear.

I'm also loving the formulation for these lipstick, they glide on beautifully, very pigmented and staying power is very good , i still had colour on my lips after 4 hours that included eating and drinking.

These MUA lipsticks are a steal at £1 each. They are a deffo for any beauty lover on a budget. MUA lipsticks come in 16 fab shades and theirs a colour to suit everyone see here ......I'm loving my shade 3 for that perfect winter/xmas look.

To ensure my lips are nourished and in great condition ready to apply my MUA lipstick, I'm loving using my NIVEA soft rose lip balm. Before i start my makeup i apply this to my lips, so its sinking in nicely as i apply the rest of my makeup.  Finally then my  lips are then ready for me to add my lipstick at the end to achieve that pervect lipstick look.

The NIVEA soft rose lip balm was also £1 making my new fave lip routine "Cheap As Chips" at £2.....That i love !!

What are your fave MUA lip colours?

They are available at Superdrug or online Shop MUA

Blogmas festive nails.....yayyyy for the perfect red!!

For the last year I've been enjoying having acrylic nails , but knowing my nails deserved a well needed break to breath i had them soaked off. This is when i discovered my love for nail polishes again.... and I really am a lover of nails inc polishes...i think the formulation is lovely, the brush glides on to the nail bed lovely and the colour is true to the bottle with great staying power.

Tonight i decided to let my nails join in on the festive season and painted them a gorgeous red from  nails inc  called Villiers Street ....This colour is a perfect Christmas red, its goes on to the nail in one coat and looks metallic with fine glitter, its beautiful!!!

I'm now on the hunt for the perfect red glitter polish...any recommendations??

What are your favourite reds?

Five Fab Friday Faves

Hi their my lovelys, so blogmas took a back seat as i haven't recovered as quick has i hoped or have i felt as good i suppose as id liked, so have decided will carry on with Xmas blogs but not blogmas as i don't want to put any extra pressure on myself and that then take the sparkle out of blogging which i thoroughly enjoy .

So to start me back as its Friday i thought id do my FIVE fAB FRIDAY FAVES....

1) Firstly i was so grateful to be nominated for a liebster award from the lovely  Fiona from LA BELLE DAME SANS MERCI click here....their will be more info on this and a separate blogpost where i will talk all about this and nominate people myself :) thank you Fiona xx

2) This week I've really enjoyed reading, its something that i love doing but don't have the time to do with having my kiddies. So when i got my hands on Chloe Sim's the only way is up....i couldn't wait to start it ...i read this in hours through the night in hospital...what a fab read, deffo recommend to anyone  who loves a bit of Towie ...even passed it to another woman in hospital that read it super quick to  "it's that good!"

3)So i have not been really in the mood for putting my face on each morning, but whats making me feel that bit nicer at the minute is smelling lovely. I've really been enjoying Thomas Sabo GLAM'N SOLE...its so fresh. Thomas Sabo are known for their beautiful charmed bracelets but check this fragrance out its lovely.

4)moisturisers loving all kinds at the minute... but my fave has to be , simple kind to skin intensive hand cream, i really suffer with dry skin especially this time of year. This moisturisers is fab makes my hands feel soft and nourished for a good while without feeling slippy and greasy and only £2.55 for 100ml.

Fab Five Friday Faves

So my lovely's, its Friday again which can only mean one thing my five faves of this week.

1) Well the last few weeks have been difficult for me with my dad battling heart problems and my daughter being admitted to hospital. My body's taken a battering  with stress and lack of sleep, my super saver from all these  has had to be  my Collection 2000 lasting perfection 16 hour wear concealer in fair, this is a fab product to conceal my horrid shadow's  under my eyes and also the horrid stress break outs that I've had, this has to be my fave product this week.

2) I love mascara's and am always chopping and changing every few weeks, so when i dug my Nouveau lashes mascara  in black out my makeup bag i rediscovered how much i love this mascara. One coat and they are good to go (don't you just love that feeling when  you rediscover a product again?)

3) Ive mentioned in my blogs my excitement for Xmas is huge, so I'm loving everything festive ....so i wanted to include my favourite buy of the week this really cute very glittery metal and plastic Crystal effect Christmas tree, i lurveeee it so much....

How adorable is this glitter tree, who said Xmas cant be girly!! and even better a bargain at £1...yes £1.

4) my make shift make up brush holder, when me and my hubby went away for our anniversary we were given champagne and glasses at our hotel we were told we could keep the glasses...so i decided this week to use them to keep my make up brushes in ....Their perfect for what i need as hold perfectly the brushes i use (and every time i look at them i have fab memories to awww)

5) So everyone loves a good winter nail polish...this week I'm loving nails inc in colour regents palace. This is  a beautiful deep purple colour and is a fab shade for this season these nail polishes also have great staying power to.
What are your favourite's this this week?

So tomorrows December which can only mean one thing.... blogging everyday till Xmas day :)

Hello my lovely's

well id like to introduce you to my guest blogger Rebecca from beauty spot click here.
Rebecca has a fab blog, with some great reviews and fab make up looks not to mention the amazing rag doll Halloween makeup she created that won her a great goodie bag from ELLE UK.

How amazing is this look!!

Well last week Rebecca and myself decided to exchange 10 question our criteria was beauty and blog related.

Here's the 10 question i gave  her and her fab replys

1)What is your blogs name??
A. Beauty Spot! http://beccaroseking.blogspot.co.uk/

2)How long have you been blogging?
A. I started in February this year

3)Who/how was you inspired to start blogging ?
A. At the beginning of 2012 I started to become obsessed with watching makeup tutorials on YouTube, in particular Pixiwoo's Chanel. The more I watched, the more beauty products I was buying. My makeup bag was literally over flowing so I thought why not start a blog about what I bought & what I really liked. So Beauty Spot! was born :)

4)Can you tell me abit about your blog?
A. It's mainly about reviews on makeup and other beauty products that I really love. I sometimes will upload makeup looks that I have created or will blog about anything else that I am loving at that moment, beauty related or not!

5)How much time do you spend a week blogging or thinking bout future blog posts?
A. It varies really, sometimes I have a bit of a splurge on buying new things so I will try and blog quite regularly. I try and blog at least a couple of times a month though

6)What is your favourite beauty brand?A. This is really hard, I love MAC lipsticks but love Rimmel foundations. If I had to choose though, I would say MAC.

7)What is one beauty product you cant live without?A. I would have to say my NARS Laguna Bronzer. I am faired skin so this really perks up my face, because it is matte it's a great product to use all year round and you can create some great contouring with it as well

8)Whats your favourite high end brand/drug store brand?
A. High end would be DIOR, I absolutely love their eyeshadow pallets and I am a little obsessed with my Dior Amber Diamond powder highlighter. Drug store I would say Rimmel, I love the foundations and range of colours they have to suit everyone. I am also a big fan of their powder blushes, nail varnishes and eyeliners, winner all round really!

9)How much time a day would you spend beautifying?
A. On a week day I try to give myself an hour to get ready for work (depending if I can get up on time!) I do my hair, makeup & have breakfast in that time. If I am getting ready for a night out, I like to give myself 2-3 hours! (I know that probably sounds ridiculous!) but I like to have a shower, wash my hair, put my rollers in and then I normally spend a little time planning my makeup look! Sometimes it takes a little while to apply the false lashes ;-)

10)Who's your beauty icon/icon's??
A. Cheryl Cole is a natural beauty, I have always thought she is so stunning. I love Kristen Stewart's look as well, she is quite a Tomboy so when you see her all glamed up on the red carpet I always think WOW! It's great that she can rock the grungey look but also pull off a classic red lip as well.

Thank you Rebecca  for being my guest blogger on my blog....all go check her blog out and maybe show the blogger love and follow beauty spot (it makes people smile )
If anyone else would love to feature as my guest blogger  leave a comment below....i would love to have you aboard.

Xmas party outfit bloggeer challenge

So when i stumbled across another blogger's blog, all about the Xmas party outfit challenge run by fashionvouchers click here , i thought why not give it a whirl and see what i can do.

The challenge is to choose a brands website from their A-Z collection of brands. You then have to put together a killer festive outfit for £100 or less.....so i thought let the challenge begin.

I looked through the brands and decided to go with BooHoo.com , as I'm only 27 still young myself. This brand always stands out to me as being very current and bang on trend which i love.

As i got it in my head i was to create a festive outfit. To me Christmas only means one thing RED and sparkle!!! so that's what i wanted to go with.

Here's what i chose .....

So when i think killer outfit i always think "dress". I chose this dress as it stood out to me being bright red and very festive looking. This dress is the Polly bandeau skater dress coming in at a bargain price of £20.00, i loved the bandeau sweetheart neckline and the flair of the material on the skirt area of the dress.

I'm really loving the look of shoe/boots with dresses at the moment. So i decided to go with some Ebony gold sparkly platform shoe boots...well if you cant sparkle at chrimo when can ya!!!
I love the fact these are platform, but even tho these state are a 6.25 inch heel (hello tallness)..i think the fact these are platform takes away the pressure on feet and will be comfortable enough to dance the party season away. These lovely heels are £35.00 so was the dearest part of my outfit but are defiantly a statement party piece.

So no outfit is complete with out a clutch.I came across this Jemma beige stud and suttle skull one...studs are a big thing at the moment and may not be very festive looking but i think the beige and reflective off the studs is enough to bring this into the festive season and would complement this outfit. This clutch was a bargain at £15.00.

An outfit would not be complete with out statement jewellery.I wanted some bracelets that would look stacked , i chose the Kayla spring gold bracelet..keeping with the gold to match the shoes, these was £8.00.I also noticed a fab matching bracelet and necklace,  the colours fitting the festive season so well. With its big multi coloured stones i thought would look great above the sweetheart neckline of the dress.  Then the bracelet on the opposite wrist to the gold stacking bracelet. The Melissa jewelled necklace came in at £10.00 and the matching bracelet £8.00, the multicolour stones would also make this a fab duo to mix and match with a variety of outfits.

So with that being my selection, my whole killer outfit came in at £96. I thought  this was fab for a 6 piece outfit....I now wanna rush out and buy this outfit for my self.

Why don't you take part in the Xmas party outfit blogger challenge ?? click here to take part

Fab Five Friday Faves!!

Hey, so i thought every Friday i would do a Fab Five Friday faves. This will consist of things that have i have loved this week and made me smile....

1)Since now in the UK its bitterly cold, I've very much been enjoying a nice bubble bath opposed to a quick shower.Whats made it more enjoyable is the Lush rose jam bubbleroon. This melt is amazing  the rose scent is very fresh and young no way a mature floral fragrance with the sweetness of jam, crumbled under my running bath water creates fab bubbles and even better my bath water is pink!!

2)Yesterday i purchased the real Techniques stippling brush and omg what had i been missing....I know I've only used it once this morning, but i was that impressed i had to include it.This Brush felt amazingly soft on my face and my foundation looked flawless...recommend this brush to everyone and whats even better Boots have a buy one get the 2nd half price on at the moment.

3) Ive been loving "all of you, yes you reading this"....I'm so grateful for the people that have read, followed and commented on my blog .....thank you so much my lovelys you have made me smile so much (my contribution for movember as i just cant grow one myself ha ha )

4) Not only have i loved you reading my blog, but have loved reading others peoples blog's to. I love a variety of different  genres from makeup to people documenting their life's...A blog I've really enjoyed this week is a thrifty Mrs http://www.athriftymrs.com/ Mrs Thrifty has made me want to organise my house...rearrange my fridge and glitter D.I.Y some shoes this week....this blog is fab check it out .

5) So the weathers been a bit wild this week, especially where i live in the midlands, strong wind and unbelievable  amounts of rain....but what I've really loved is lying in bed listening to the wind outside and rain fall on my windows (ok i don't enjoy it when i have to go out in it and realise the hubby's took the umbrellas to work in the car :/ bad times!! ) but i always think theirs something really therapeutic about lying in your cosy bed and falling to sleep to it...anyone else with me on that one??........
